This month I am experimenting with heat and fire. I will use a laser that can burn very precise lines into the paper with its focused beam of light. Or a soldering iron that burns the surface of the paper when it passes over it. I will also combine this with other materials to find out what effects are created.
This month I want to draw with other materials. Instead of ballpoint pen and ink I want to work with graphite, coal, chalk, clay, earth, coffee, wax and similar materials.
After some very colourful months, this February I want to focus on the emerging form. In black and white I will present strong shapes and structures.
The topic of January is the manipulation of the flow and dry behaviour of the ink. I am looking forward to it! Do you have any tips for me on how I can change the colour behaviour?
In the month of december I make artworks without a restrictive theme. I pick up on themes from previous months and test new ideas.
In the month of November I created images in which a straight line was always integrated in some way. Some of the pictures I put in the bleed. for others I used masks with straight lines. Or I put the background together from different cardboards.
This month, instead of pens, I clamped various objects in the machines. I then dripped ink onto these objects by hand. The ink then flows around the objects and onto the paper.
this month i explored the contrast between order and chaos. i tried to create works in which the tension between symmetrical forms and wild structures is as interesting as possible.
In August I created shapes and figures with an organic feel. I wrote an algorithm that varies the speed of the motors slightly at random. these slight fluctuations in speed create very natural-looking shapes.
