The interest in technology and optics is as much in the foreground for me as the respect and reverence for nature, which grows with every new image. Beautiful colours, incredible constructions and behaviours are waiting to be discovered in the world of insects. It is high time to change the perspective on these creatures, in the truest sense of the word. According to the motto see, know, appreciate, protect, I would like to draw attention to the drastic decline of insects with my pictures and encourage people to think about it. Insect mortality” is the most extensive species extinction on our planet. We must understand and protect this basis of our existence.Thorben Danke

“In my works light plays the leading role, the play of light and shadow, the changing incidence of light during the day. I am constantly looking for new forms to create depth in an often white surface by building a work in layers of glass and paper or by folding patterns.” Tim van Eenennaam

“A patient, recognizable, but also new landscape, stretches out indefinitely before me. A perseverance, a desire, for a silence, to stop grinding thoughts. Until nothing is left, except my pen on paper, my rules, my patterns, an unstoppable rhythm” Gemma Rakels

“I paint everything that touches me. From time to time these are critical events, because art does not have to be pleasing. On other days, special colors inspire me and I prefer the abstract. When I’m not painting, I’m out in nature, gathering new impressions, taking pictures or enjoying time with friends and family. My motto in life is: “Everything is possible” and I firmly believe that only conditioning and thoughts hinder us.” – Carolin Bernhard
